TeleChem International, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Rene' Schena and Todd Martinsky as an import and export trading company specializing in industrial chemicals. The company has expanded rapidly over the years into three separate corporate divisions, gaining international recognition in 2002 by making Inc. Magazine’s coveted “Inc. 500” list as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States. The Chemicals Division continues to specialize in industrial chemicals including the raw materials for plastics, phosphates for fertilizers, and specialty chemicals for the Defense Department and other government agencies. The ArrayIt Division is our Life Sciences division, focusing on microarray technology, which is helping researchers speed our understanding of human genes and the human genome. The Diagnostics Division, NGS-ArrayIt, Inc., is developing tests to screen and diagnose human diseases including cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anemia. We were featured on the NOVA television series “Cracking the Code of Life”, and the company received the “Rising Star” award in 2002 as one of the fastest growing and profitable companies in Silicon Valley.
